UPS Test Systems
Model 4600 AC loads have changed the way small to mid-range UPSs are now tested.
In this market sector, NHR has provided load instruments to major UPS
and inverter manufacturers for integration into their own test stations.
For other UPS manufacturers, NHR
has provided complete turnkey test systems.

Industrial Battery Charger Test Systems
This application with capability up to 48 kW, utilizes Model 4700/4760 DC loads
and a programmable DC source in order to emulate a battery. The benefit
or eliminating a battery as part of the test set up is much faster production
testing and more comprehensive test data. |

Performance Testing for Lighting Controls and Switching Devices
In this application, switches, dimmers, and ballasts must be certified to withstand
the huge turn-on current surge created by the most challenging standard
of tungsten-filament lamps. Regulations include UL 508 Section
61C, 17th Edition, NEMA 410-204, UL 1472 Overload (in-rush stimulation
only), and UL 20(various sections). |

Automotive EV/HEV Auxiliary Power Module (APM) Test System
Another application where Model 4700/4760 DC loads and a DC source
are used to simulate a battery in order to achieve more efficient
test of this automotive component. NHR provided the complete test
system. |

Automotive EV/HEV Battery Pack Test System
In this turnkey test system application, Model 4700 DC loads are used discharge
Hybrid Electric Vehicle battery packs during laboratory evaluations and
production test. Other similar applications include the use of 4700 loads for
battery testing at the module
level. |
