535 Power Supply Tester

Application
The POWERTEST® 535 is a fully configured, mid-range DC power supply test system. It is specifically targeted for cost-efficient testing of AC-DC supplies up to 1200W and 8 outputs. For example, the 535 is ideally suited for ATX power supply test applications. For power supplies within its capability, the 535 Power Supply Tester delivers fast test speeds, low cost of ownership and an established track record of exceptional reliability.

A Fully-Configured DC Power Supply Test System
In order to provide the capability to perform all standard functional tests on typical mid-range power supplies, the 535 includes 8 DC electronic loads totaling 1200 W, a 2.4 kVA programmable AC power source, over-voltage DC supply, full measurement instrumentation, digital logic inputs/outputs and general-purpose relays. This unique approach of a fully configured DC power supply tester allows significant cost and integration advantages over custom configured systems, particularly those comprised of an assortment of GPIB-controlled, single-function instruments.

A Simplified System Design
A very high degree of integration is achieved from utilizing only task-essential portions of all power stimulus and measurement instruments. This results in a compact, minimum-parts tester that internally looks more like a single instrument than a collection of separate instruments. Eliminated are the cost, rack space and reliability compromises from redundant front panels, displays, switches, connectors, power supplies and fans.

Fast Test Execution Times
Because of the high level of integration, the 535 Power Supply Tester eliminates most of the communication overhead that burdens traditional GPIB-based power supply test equipment. This allows testing to be executed at faster speeds, thereby lowering power supply cost-of-test to an absolute minimum.
